On July 8, 2025 Governor Lombardo held a ceremonial signing of SB279. SB279 amended NRS 289 to strengthen notice requirements for all law enforcement officers as described in section 289.060 and also codified the 48 hour advance notice requirement for witnesses.

As 2022 comes to a close I wanted to take a moment to summarize this year’s accomplishments and look forward at some of what to expect in 2023.
The Board of Directors of NAPSO recently decided to open its legal and administrative defense services to individual peace officers who are not members of one our affiliated Associations.
